Search Resumes by Date Added

By request we've added a new feature to the Resume Database.  Churches can now search the database for records added in the last 30, 60, 90, or 120 days.  This allows churches to narrow their search to the most recently added resumes.

We work to keep our database up to date and accurate but sometimes older records get through the cracks.  This feature will help churches quickly narrow in on candidates who have most recently posted resumes.

Resume Database Search Improvements

We've made some improvements to our resume database search. Although only churches can search the database, the way we handle it affects candidates too, so we'd like to update everyone on how it works.

First of all, churches can now restrict searches to those with head shots or videos, as well as by years of experience or education level.  This allows churches to narrow down their search quickly.

ChurchJobs.net Mobile Gets New Features!

We've updated our mobile site again!  Candidates can search for and apply for jobs, and Churches can now search for and view resumes on mobile devices.

If you are a candidate and have your resume hosted on ChurchJobs.net, you can apply for jobs on your smartphone.  Your application and resume will reach the church just as if you did it on your desktop computer.

Why would a church search resumes on a mobile device?  Convenience.  When a committee member receives a notification email or a resume from ChurchJobs.net while they're on the go, they can immediately see the resume on their mobile device. It will be formatted for mobile, and they can save the job to their My ChurchJobs page, or reply to the candidate immediately.

We've also added a new Quick Search drop down on the top of page so you can quickly view job categories.

Remember to add ChurchJobs.net Mobile to your iPhone's Home Screen.

  • Go to http://m.churchjobs.net on your iPhone.
  • Click the arrow on the bottom of the screen.

  • Click the Add to Home Screen button

You'll end up with a ChurchJobs.net icon on your Home Screen.  That's it!  Now you'll be able to visit ChurchJobs.net Mobile with the tap of an icon.

My ChurchJobs page updated

We've giving the My ChurchJobs page a new layout.  We hope the new layout makes it easier to manage your job search.

Candidates will notice the latest 15 jobs applied for on the main page.  Clicking the View All link will show all jobs applied for.

Churches get avatars at a glance, as well as a new Application Manager.

If your My ChurchJobs page doesn't look right for some reason, reload the page.  We've noticed some caching issues since the change.

As usual, please report any issues.

Add a photo to make your resume more effective

Adding a head shot to your resume can make it more effective.  Your resume will instantly become more personable, and churches like that. By adding your photo you put a face to your name, and that's a good thing. Resumes with photos tend to stand out and that's what you're trying to accomplish by listing your resume in the first place.

Remember, we place head shots next to all listings that have one to make them stand out in our search results lists.  Don't be shy, add your photo today!
