Tracking jobs you apply for

We've introduced a new tab for Candidates My Church Jobs page. You can now keep track of the jobs you apply for, separately from your Saved Jobs. You can add notes to yourself and even have a record of the message you sent to the church with your application.

If you have any issues with this new feature, please let us know.

Redesigned homepage launched

ChurchJobs.net has launched a redesigned homepage today. We've given the site a bit of a paint job, but beyond that our goal is to make using our site as simple and straight forward as possible. Our philosophy has been to focus on giving churches and candidates the best chance to connect, without distractions. For example, although we do have advertising on the site, we don't bombard our users with ads. We keep our ads out of the way and to a minimum. And by the way, we never use popups.

You'll notice a new keyword/job type search right on the front page. We also still have an advanced search page for those users who want a more detailed search. We've made the top menu bar a little taller, and put more options in each menu.

If you miss the old homepage don't worry, we kept it here. If you prefer the old homepage simply bookmark it and keep using it.

We've also launched a couple of new features in the last 2 weeks.

1. Gold Star listings now have the ability to screen applicants by requiring a certain level of education, and years of experience.

2. Gold Star listings now have the ability to choose a secondary job category for job listings.

3. We launched a new mobile site with search. Check it out at m.churchjobs.net on your mobile phone.

ChurchJobs.net has been growing consistently and we'd like to thank all of our users for making that happen. Traffic is up, and people are finding the site valuable in their search. If you have any suggestions for new features please let us know. We're constantly striving to improve ChurchJobs.net and welcome suggestions from our users.

New Feature: Choose a Secondary Category

ChurchJobs.net is rolling out a new feature today. Churches who need to post their job listing in more than one category now have a new option. All Gold Star job listings now have the ability to be listed in a second category. That means that you'll get more visibility on our site.

When you log into your My ChurchJobs page and Edit your job listing you will see the new option listed under "Job Information."

We're always up for new features so if you have a suggestion, let us know.

Let ChurchJobs.net screen applicants for you

Churches now have the option to let us screen applicants by setting minimum education and years of experience. If these options are set, only applicants that meet your criteria will be allowed to apply for the job. This will cut down the number of applicants you will receive, but can be beneficial for certain churches. This feature is available with our Gold Star listings.

Once your job is posted, simply visit My ChurchJobs and click the "Edit" link next to your job listing. You'll see the box pictured above. Once set, applicants will be required to meet your minimum criteria to apply.

Can't see your resume?

Are you asking "where is my resume?" OR, "I can't see my resume?" You can view your resume by logging into My ChurchJobs. A link to your resume will be listed in the center column of the page under the tab, My Resumes.

Because we restrict access to our Resume Database you cannot see your actual resume as it is listed in the Resume Database.

Allowing you to view your resume in the Resume Database would allow you to see other people's resumes as well, and we restrict that kind of access for privacy reasons. How would you feel about someone from your church being able to simply post a resume and then get access so they could see that you had a resume on ChurchJobs.net? For this reason we restrict access to the Resume Database to paid Church accounts.

Instead, we allow you to see an exact duplicate of your own resume, but not the resume of others. Login to your account at My ChurchJobs, and click on the "See Details" link under the My Resumes tab. You will see your resume as it appears there.
